About This Quote

All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes. Author: William Blake The first thing we see is a picture of a beautiful landscape, a beautiful mountain, a beautiful sky, which all of a sudden changes to a skull with a tear running down the side of it. Then there is some type of writing which says "All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain." I was immediately drawn to this quote because as you can see from the picture on the left, that is exactly what it says. I think this quote really shows how important it is to remember that we will all experience pain at some point in life and sometimes we may not be able to handle it but we can still hold on to what is good and beautiful and don't let the bad stuff get us down.
